First public version!


What started life as an idea several years ago is finally public!

I originally intended for Sqirmish to be a phone app for iOS and Android, so I used flutter to build it. As with every game dev project ever, the initial idea came together pretty quickly but the devil was in the details. Specifically, getting the layout to remain stable across tablets and phones of all resolutions. I was never going to charge for it, so dropping it on here as an HTML5 game (now that flutter supports building for web!) seemed like the quickest path to making it available.

It's very much still in progress, with some missing effects, and I'd like to sort out the layout so it can be more flexible, and eventually get it onto mobile devices.

I'd love to hear what you think of it, all feedback welcome.
